When people want to rank their sites well in the search engines, they ignore one of the most effective ways to increase the ranking of internal pages. Internal link building is used by only a few smart site owners who have good knowledge of search engine optimization. Amazon and Wikipedia are examples of sites which dominate the first page of Google because of effective internal link structure.
The internal link structure of your site can have a massive impact on the ranking in search engines. This is more important if you own a big authority website. You can enhance the ranking of many of your pages of the site by putting internal links on strategic places within the site. You are actually boosting the ranking of certain pages by diverting the link juice from important pages of the site.
Unfortunately the internal link structure of most of the people is not in good shape and they do not realize the power of linking within their site. Read the rest of this entry

An article marketing blog that will bring you great amounts of success is easy to make if done correctly. An article marketing blog is easy to put together but what will make it successful is getting good content published on it. Getting content for your blog isn’t enough, though. You have to get traffic to it. For an article marketing blog content is king but what gives that king his power is the people who come to read it. So get the people coming to your article marketing blog and give them what they want so they come back.
Article writing blogs can get their content from many different sources. You can, of course, write all of your content but you can have it written for you as well. That is where hiring a ghost writer can come in handy. There are other sources for content, though.
If you choose to write your own content, first make sure that it uses keywords that will help get it picked up on search engines. As far as finding things to write about, follow top news stories related to your particular industry or product or service. Also consider industry news sources and use social bookmarking services to find out what the hot topics are for the moment and just comment on them. Also consider looking at the hottest websites pertaining to your blog and find out what is drawing the most attention and check out what is generating the most traffic on search engines relating to your field. Follow trends and comment on what you find. Your article marketing blog will be riding a wave of popularity.
Many bloggers will make use of PLR articles in their article marketing blogs. You can find affordable articles usually as a group and can make even that stretch by breaking it up into different parts.
Another option that people use is RSS feeds. This is an easy way to get content to your article marketing blog because it is automatically updated with content.
One thing that you always need to be doing is making sure that there is something in the article thatwhen posted will make it seen by search engines. This is why it is usually best to have some control over what is being posted rather than relying solely on automation. Articles are many times written just for the reader when they should just as much be written for the search engines. Make sure that it is keyword rich so that it will help those looking for information be able to find it.
Another thing that will help generate traffic and help those looking for information find you is to make use of the different article directories. Find those ones that the search engines love and use them. Make sure you read all the rules and that you create the ideal article for their standards. This will help give you links to your article marketing blog and will draw in those people who will keep coming back to your blog weekly or even daily.

Is a Thief Inside Your Head Stealing Your Money?
I have another niche market I participate in and hope to sell products in.
This niche market involves a sizable learning curve. I see people come and go in it all the time.
And from my own experiences and those I observe, there is ONE THING that keeps people from making progress. And that thing is self doubt.
1. You may doubt you have the ability to succeed in this business
You know, we all have self doubts. In learning the new skills I’m tell you about, I know I personally have had self doubt. “Is this something I can do? Is this a skill I can master? Am I TOO OLD?”
Yet, the conclusion I come back to over and over is that success in ANY endeavor is the result of behaviors. Change the behaviors and get the result.
Wherever you are, I’ve been there. I know what it is to doubt yourself or your ability. To not be sure if you have what it takes. To try and have your successes far outweighed by things that didn’t work.
It’s easy to get discouraged. To stop. To quit. To think that this is the end of the road for you. In this new arena and skill set area I’m working in, I’ve experienced all those feelings and emotions and more. Read the rest of this entry

Have you ever wandered through Barnes & Noble or Borders and have books jump off the shelves straight into your attention center? It’s a great idea to do this. Set aside a few hours and make a trip with notebook in hand. You might be amazed at what you learn. I know of one author who did this and learned that all of the books in her category contained the word “happiness” or some form of it. She might never have recognized this without the trip. Look specifically at the category of the book you are writing and see what is attractive about it or investigate what book is selling the best. The staff can help you with statistics. This trip will give you excellent clues about superb graphic book cover design as you move into the publication phase for your self-published book.
Enhancements that Make Your Book Sellable
The design of the book cover should hum a little song that tickles both the eye and the ear of the shopper. Will they
pick the book up and flip through it? Will they want to take it home with them? Would the book store management be proud to have it on display? Is it tasteful? Does it visually say “Come here.” Does it stand out from your category’s crowd? These elements should be evoked by a great book cover design. Read the rest of this entry

What do you think the ONE thing is that gets people to buy from you?
Think about what your answer is before you read on. OK. Got it?
For the last 12+ years I’ve been saying this business is basically simple.
At heart, you find a group of people who want stuff and you get ‘em to give you money for it.
Of course, the magic is in the part where people willingly give you their money.
When I was a child, my favorite part of the fair was the carnival pitchmen who sold knives and blenders and the little mouse that crawled up your arm.
I’ve been studying what gets people to buy ever since.
I have no desire to make it complex or complicated. I really believe when you discover the secret of something, it’s, at heart, simple.
So here is the result of what I’ve learned since I was a kid watching carnival pitchmen.
The secret of getting people to buy from you is…. Read the rest of this entry

CAN-SPAM (Controlling the Assault of Non-Solicited Pornography and Marketing Act) was passed in 2003 and went
into effect January 1st, 2004.
We will touch on the main points of the CAN SPAM Act and CAN SPAM Compliance here briefly. You can review the Federal Trade Commission website for a full description of the CAN-SPAM Act.
http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/business/ecommerce/bus61.shtm.
The CAN SPAM Act of 2003 took a hard line with several facets of commercial email.

Pay per click marketing is also commonly called PPC and PPC marketing. PPC marketing might sound expensive and complicated but it’s a very simple way to get targeted traffic to your website. And targeted traffic is really the only kind of traffic you want. Pay per click marketing is advertising in which you pay each time someone clicks through to your site.
To understand how pay per click works, let’s pretend that you have a website about collectible art. You’ve written a great guide all about collectible art and you sell it from your website. Maybe you also sell some art pieces.
You want targeted traffic to come to your website. In this case, that would be people who have searched online for something relating to collectible art. They are already interested in the topic of your website. That’s makes them not just traffic, but targeted traffic.
The best keyword to use for your pay per click campaign would be collectible art. But there’s a pretty good chance that other people might want that same keyword. So you would have to bid on it, and the highest bidder gets to use it.
If your website was especially designed for people who want to learn to make money with collectible art, your phrase could be more specific aimed just at them. This keyword might bring you better targeted traffic and have less competition. Read the rest of this entry
