What Is Pay Per Click Marketing?

If you’ve looked into advertising your website, you probably wonder, what is pay per click marketing? There’s a ton of information online about pay per click marketing, which is also often called PPC or PPC marketing. The simple answer is that pay per click marketing lets you buy targeted traffic for your website.

Just having a website won’t get you visitors or sales. You have to entice people to come to your website. You can do this through things like word of mouth if you mention your site in forums or on bulletin boards. You can use search engine optimization to get your site to show up in the top search engine results.

You could also pay for advertisements on high traffic sites through links and banner ads. With all those options available then is it even important to know, what is pay per click?  And how can it make you money?

It is important, because PPC marketing is one of the best tools you have to get people to come to your website. You could put an advertisement up on a high traffic website and get traffic that way. Are You Curious About Adsense?

Google’s Adsense program has been delivering targeted ads to web pages for some time and allowing those advertisers to promote products. This has generated a revenue machine that has added much power to the advertiser’s strategies. In addition, Google allows people who host these ads to share a percentage of the revenue when people click on the ads. It’s a win win deal – the advertiser gets a potential conversion, Google gets cash for it and the web site showing the ads attracts cash to its owner.

Adsense is a free program from Google that allows you to register an account and display relevant ads on your web page, blog, or on free article directories like Hubpages and Orble. These are targeted ads. That means the Adsense information in the Google box pertains to the products being sold on the web site or the information being conveyed.  This has extended to display mobile and video ads.

For example a web site selling real estate will have Adsense information ads on estate agent services, and other sites with similar information. These ads are paid for by the publisher to Google, and they are specifically targeting their niche areas. You get paid as part of the Adsense program as a way of saying thanks from the publisher for displaying the ad and providing traffic. Google knows that people react well to quality content as opposed to a search listing. Notices how descriptive the sales copy for the ads are on various Adsense enabled web pages. Did you know that your website can be getting hits all day if your design is web search engine ranking friendly. You can make the best and most beautiful and informative website on the internet that people in your niche has ever seen but no one will ever see it if it isn’t search engine optimized. The prices that you have may be the best as well but unless you use some smart search engine optimization techniques no one will ever know.

The best kind of website promotion that you can have is making sure that it is built so that search engines find it attractive. It has to have your information phrased in such a way that the bots that they send out to see what types of information your website has will be ranked high in searches.

There are a couple things that you can do to help it be picked up by the search engines. One is to make the best usage of space on your website. Make sure that you have your keywords placed within the HTML code for your images, flash objects and videos. In the “alt” part of your HTML code place a description using the keywords or phrase. The search engines may not be able to read your graphics or see what words you have in your videos but they can see the HTML.  

For improved website search engine ranking, you will also want to make sure that you are creating relevant title tags. This isn’t talking about the title that those viewing your website see, it is talking about the HTML tags that the search engines see that tell it what your site is all about. Some will have the same title tag for every page of their web site but doing so isn’t optimizing it for search engines. Each page should have it’s own unique HTML title tag relevant to the information on that page. That is guaranteed to make your web search engine ranking higher not only for your site but for that page in particular.

Make sure that you don’t have any duplicate information on your web pages. Don’t have the identical thing posted on different pages. This will not help draw attention to your website but may actually cause the bots to ignore your page. Also do not have hidden text in your page. Web builders in the past use to hide text in a page that viewers were unable to see but bots were able to pick up on and help with your web search engine ranking. Search engines caught on to this and now will hide web pages totally that it believes has hidden text in it.
                        
These ideas are just a few of the necessary steps to help your search engine optimization efforts succeed. A web site design that isn’t using these techniques will not be making the most of any opportunities and may get you ignored by not just Google but Yahoo or any other search engines. Doing it correctly though and constantly finding ways to have your web site design optimized will help your web search engine ranking go through the roof.

In our efforts to make money online from home we should never under estimate the importance of building and maintaining an opt-in list of subscribers. Immediately, upon doing this, your message or promotion will be delivered to all of the subscribers on your list at once. An Online Marketing Campaign Can Be Easy

An effective online marketing campaign can be almost as important to selling as the product or service itself. It doesn’t matter how great it is that you have made, it goes nowhere without a good way to market it. Because the marketing is so important it is easy to be intimidated by it but it doesn’t need to be that way. You can build one if you break it down into bite size pieces.

First thing you need to do is figure out who your customer is. What is the perfect customer you are looking for? How old is my customer? What is their sex? Where do they work? What type of work do they do? What is their household income? Is what I am offering realistically in their price range? Where do they usually go to look for what I am offering and what does it usually take to get their business. Not all of these questions apply to your particular product or service but the first thing for you do is find out what questions apply and then answer them.

The second thing that you need to do is to find out how you are going to get their attention. Where is it that you are going to go to try and get their business? Are you going to focus on just one avenue or are there several that you can use effectively to reach wider range of customers? Look at all the different avenues available to you whether putting ads on other web sites or pay-per-click. Find out what others are doing and see if it would work for you.

A third thing that you need to do is set a budget. It may not be cheap but it doesn’t have to break you either. Find out how much money you can spend on each avenue you take, realizing that some cost more than others but are also worth the added money. What works for you is going to be different than what works for everyone else.  Pay close attention to what works and pay even closer attention to what doesn’t work. Just make sure that what you put out can be sustained for as long a period of time as possible.

You then need to create your ad content. Don’t be afraid to be creative and don’t be afraid to ask for input or ideas. You have small opportunities to catch your customers attention. Make it count. Do something that will catch their attention and their curiosity, and give them a way to give them more.

The last thing that you need to do is monitor and track how your ads do. If you find that some avenues are working better than others, try to capitalize on that. Exploit the strengths in your online marketing campaign and look for the weaknesses as well. Quit spending money on what doesn’t work. Of something is working a little, try tweaking it a bit. If something is working really well, put some more energy and money behind it. You can make it successful.

When you wake up tomorrow morning, will your marketing model be dead or alive?

In my Ateam call this week I went through 6 marketing models in depth spelling out the pros and cons of each.

What about YOUR marketing model?

Do you have one?

Will it be dead in the morning?

Overnight, Google can slap seo models and crush your income.  I’m NOT against doing seo and ppc.

But if your whole model is built around Google, you’re certainly vulnerable.

If you’re using a product launch model, your merchant account be frozen in a heartbeat if too much money comes into your account too fast.

And even if you’ve received promises your account won’t be frozen, it can still happen.

The other vulnerability of product launch models is what if the sales letter doesn’t convert?

Think it doesn’t happen?  It does.

What about CPA-based models?  Same thing.  Just one adverse ruling by the FTC can really put a kink in the works.

NOTHING at all wrong with the cpa model. But if your whole livlihood depends on it, whew!
