Your marketing campaigns are finally paying off and you are finally getting people buying your goods or services. Now you have heard that it is easier to market to a previous customer than to market to a new customer so it would be good if you could sell more of your goods or services to returning customers.
How to do get a customer to return to buy more from you?
You need to know what made them buy from you in the first place.
Easiest way is to ask them with a simple survey after they purchase your goods or services. Find out things like why they bought your products, why they need them and what else they are looking to buy. Finding this out will also help you market to more new customers as you will be able to build up a profile of your customers and target your marketing to suit. You will also get an idea of what else they require for future sales. Another good idea is to give them the opportunity to leave their name and email address for special deals and updates. This allows you to send your customers regular newsletters, special offers, details of new products and greetings for occasions like Christmas and Easter.
What are their future needs?
By finding out the future needs of your customers, their problems, frustrations and desires you will put yourself in a better position by being able to target them with the right goods at the right place at the right time. They will also be more inclined to pull out their credit cards for someone they can trust especially if you have looked after them following their initial purchase. If you have their name and email address you can send them targeted special offers and information on new products that you already know will interest them. Read the rest of this entry

In today’s competitive online market it is more important than ever to use a link building strategy to create traffic generation to your website. After all without targeted traffic to your site your online business will not succeed.
A very powerful technique used by internet savvy marketers is submitting articles and videos. This information is content and must be about your product or niche with a link pointing back to your URL. When the article or video is submitted to an appropriate directory this will in turn create another URL. These URLs are then copy and pasted into various social media networks all back-linking to your online business. After a dozen or two original content articles or videos the additional back-links really begin to multiply and create targeted traffic to your business.
An added benefit to the links you create is your website gains search engine ranking. Keep in mind that Google likes content. Search engines see these links much like a road map all pointing to your content and the result, providing the content is good and relevant usually boosts your page ranking. Other factors play into this for example, competition, keywords, how long the domain has been around etc. However as a general rule the more information you have uploaded to the internet with many links pointing to this information the more likely search engines will find you. With enough good content, back-links and search engine optimization you could easily find your website on page one of a Google search.
Many online businesses find writing articles and doing videos to be very time consuming work. However to be successful online you really need to make this a part of your marketing plan. Fortunately with today’s technology there are many ways an online business can use this strategy with much less effort than in years past. Read the rest of this entry

You have written a great article about your product or service and it has been approved by one of the high ranking article directories. You know that even though this directory gets a lot of traffic you are missing out on the traffic generated by other article directories. To maximize the potential of your article you need to get more exposure by submitting it to other directories. To do this you have two choices. Do it manually or use one of the article submitting software programs to do it for you.
1. Consider the cost of manually submitting articles verses automatically submitting them using an article submitter. To do it manually is time consuming but you can outsource it for a cost. Submitting using a submitter you need to take into account the initial cost of the article submitter plus the time or cost of outsourcing setting it up. However before you can cost the article submitting program you much do some research to find out what is available, read reviews and work out which one suits your needs and most importantly its initial cost. You can then decide which way is most cost effective to submit your articles to other directories. There are free submitters available but they may not submit your articles to the directories that will maximize the potential of your article.
2. Before you can submit your articles using any article submitter it is a good idea to write a couple of articles and submit them manually to multiple directories to get a good idea how the whole process works. This will also help you to decide which submitter suits your needs if you decide to submit your articles automatically. It has been said that article directories outside the top 10 or so ones may not be worth using but this would depend upon what niche you are targeting as some smaller directories in your niche could be worth considering. If you are considering paying for traffic to your website, the most commonly used advertising is Google AdWords. Also known as PPC (Pay Per Click) or contextual advertising.
When you purchase these ads, you bid on the amount you want to pay based on targeted keywords. You also must set a daily limit or budget for your advertising campaign so you do not get a “surprise” bill of thousands of dollars that you did not expect to pay.
Once your campaign is set up, you have chosen your keywords, set your bid amount and your daily budget and activated the campaign, Google will then search for sites to display your ads on. Since your campaign is keyword focused, your ads will be shown on websites that have related content. Whenever a visitor to that site clicks on your ad and goes to your website, you will be charged a fee.
This type of advertising is more desirable than traditional advertising as you are only paying when someone actually visits your website. There is a downside to it too. Since the people who own the websites get paid a small commission when their visitors click on the ads, it opens the doors for click fraud which can cost the paying advertiser a great deal of money.
There is a steep learning curve for understanding AdWords and how to make a profit from it, so you must be prepared to pay a few bills before you get a ROI if you are new to PPC advertising. This is why it is imperative that you set a daily budget.
Before you venture into the world of PPC advertising I highly recommend you study and learn as much about it as possible before starting your first campaign or hire an expert to set up and manage your first few campaigns until you have learned enough to make a profit from it yourself.

Linking is great if you know what you are doing. If you don’t then you create a huge mess. Linking does work but it has had changes since it first began being used.
The key to using links is using them in moderation. In the past, it was common practice to use thousands of links but as with many other things in the marketing world, limiting the number of links is the best method to use now.
The market today focuses on content not quantity. This is great news since you now have more space on your site and can remove the many links you have that aren’t really producing but you hated to remove them.
When you have a website with several pages, use links to the different pages. All the links will have different content describing the pages. This increases traffic to the site via the different pages and entices the people to browse through the rest of the website too.
Have one of the links to the homepage of your site. Deep linking is using the right link to the specific page on the website. This can be a link from within your site or from another site you have exchanged a link. Use relevant pages of content to link to your pages. Tell the sources of the links you are limiting the links for future sources and this will create others to want to add links to your site before you meet your quotas of links.
Using this method creates excitement from webmasters since you are placing their links on a website with limited links, which decreases their competition for users to select their links on your site. It also states to potential sites wanting to exchange links or add links that you are responsible and caring about the appearance of your site so they want to use the professional site you have created.
