If you have an established website it is important to know who are the visitors to your site before joining any affiliate programs. Your chosen programs should be well targeted to this traffic that comes to your website.
If you do not choose programs carefully then you are wasting your time promoting them. This is because the people coming to your website are not interested in them. So take your time and do plenty of research as it will pay dividends for you in the long run.
Before joining an affiliate program review the affiliate site to check that you will be sending traffic to a website that is run by an honest and reputable merchant. You business depends on you referring people to only legitimate businesses otherwise you will lose their trust.
So check out the merchant’s website thoroughly reviewing the products, ordering procedures, design and layout of the page and so on. Choose only those affiliate programs that you would buy yourself as there is a good chance if you would not buy them then others might do the same.
Check that the merchant is contactable and they respond quickly. In other words contact them and test out their help desk and response times. If something goes wrong and the buyer contacts you then you must be able to contact the merchant and get a quick response. This is particularly important if you are promoting those instant commission programs that pay the money straight into your PayPal account. If you can not resolve the issue quickly the buyer is likely to turn nasty and demand their money back. If you can not resolve this issue quickly you will have to issue the refund not the merchant.
Most merchants supply marketing materials these days to their affiliates. Now even though I recommend that you should create and use your own marketing materials you can learn a lot about the merchant and his professionalism by checking out what he offers his affiliates. Check that they are current and as an example you will not be running Easter ads at Christmas time. Are they of good quality? Are the text emails and blog posts well written or just some rehashed ones? Good quality affiliate tools means that the merchant has invested time and money in them as well as his products. So why should you market other people’s products online? Because it is one of the easiest way to start marketing online and can be very profitable if you learn how to do it well. It only takes an internet connection and a plan to get started.
Could you do with a little extra money each month? Maybe to help with the kids college expenses, to save for a holiday or even to just help pay the bills. Internet marketing is one way of making this little bit extra each month.
In fact it is irrelevant why you want to work online from home because you can be successful and sack your boss. Just think of all those jobs you have had to do in the past that you never really got paid for all the work you did. Being your own boss does however have a major drawback in that you need to stay focused and have a daily work plan as it is way too easy to get distracted and nothing gets done.
With online marketing the money is proportional to the amount of effort and time you put into it. It is up to you if you succeed or fail as you are your own boss. Imagine the great pleasure you will get when you alone can support yourself and the rest of your family. Imagine being able to take the family on that holiday you dream about or buy that shiny new car you pass every day on your way to work.
Yes it is possible to work online from home with very little in the way of expenses. The solution is to market other people’s products for them. Some will even pay you up to 75% commission for each sale. You do not have to worry about creating your own product, creating a website or collecting the money as these people take care of all that for you. Read the rest of this entry

Affiliate marketing is a way of selling other peoples products, mainly digital but can be physical products, online for a commission or a percentage of the sale.
Yes you can make money at home just with a computer and an internet connection. However most of those network marketing programs, filling out surveys, clicking on ads for mere cents will not make you a millionaire overnight. In fact nothing will except perhaps a lottery win. However beware of those spam lottery win emails as the only thing you will lose is your identity in pursuit of those millions. Just remember that if someone offers you something for nothing or little effort, there is usually a catch just like in real life.
The easiest way I can recommend to make money online is bum marketing which is a form of affiliate marketing that uses free advertising methods. One of the most popular being article marketing. Here you write articles, similar to the one you are now reading, about tips, ideas or hints on doing things. This article is about “How to Make Money at Home with Affiliate Marketing”.
Affiliate marketing is not about selling digital products on eBay as they made changes awhile back, that more or less banned the selling of digital products unless they could be sold as a physical product such as a DVD. It is about selling other peoples stuff for a commission some times as high as 75% of the selling price. You can sell either physical or digital products. Digital products can be found for example on ClickBank whereas physical products can be found on Amazon.
With affiliate marketing all you have to do is find people desperate for a solution to their problem, find a good product to solve it and direct them to the merchants sales page. The merchant takes care of everything else including the delivery, collecting the money, customer service and any refunds. Read the rest of this entry

Bum marketing is a term that was conceived from the idea that affiliate marketing was so easy that any bum off the street could walk into a library, use a computer and make money online. It is basically a low cost form of affiliate marketing or marketing other people’s products online for a commission.
So is bum marketing a great low cost way to make money online from home?
Yes if you are prepared to put the work into it to get results. Unfortunately it is not a matter of turning on your computer and the money flows out your DVD drive like it does out of an ATM. Do not laugh but I am sure sometimes a few other marketers want people to believe it does.
Bum marketing or low cost affiliate marketing uses free methods to promote other people’s products to earn a commission on each sale. The commission can be as high as 75% so it can be very lucrative.
The bum marketing method can be used to sell anything online from physical products such as clothes, shoes, books to digital products such as ebooks, scripts or software. The commission rate on physical products is generally only about 5 to 10% but on digital products it can be as high as 75%. This makes digital products far more lucrative than physical products. The other great thing about digital products is that people today want things immediately so their instant download to their computer is very appealing to them. Read the rest of this entry

Kids are great at online games but also as any parent knows they are constantly asking for money and it just seems to get worse as they get older. What if you could get them to use their skills to make money online as well and help out with the family budget. One hears about teenagers making lots of money on the internet every second day and if you have kids you must be thinking only if I could get them to get focused on making money on the internet instead.
Unfortunately most kids, like lots of adults as well, hate hard work and want instant gratification. Online gaming gives them this. So it is sometimes difficult to get them involved in anything that takes for ever to work. So how do you get them interested in making money instead? Good question.
Unfortunately schools today teach kids how to get a job and trade their precious time for an hourly rate of pay. So kids today are more focused on getting a part time job instead of using their online skills to make money instead. Adults on the other hand are more focused on how to make extra money so that they can stop juggling bills and make life a bit more comfortable for themselves.
Kids just expect their parents to pick up the tab when they go to college but it rarely concerns them where the money is going to come from to pay the college fees. All they want to do is go to college and have a good time as well. No wonder their parents have started to look for ways to make extra money online from home. How can you as a parent really deny your child a college education? Read the rest of this entry
