You have written a great article about your product or service and it has been approved by one of the high ranking article directories. You know that even though this directory gets a lot of traffic you are missing out on the traffic generated by other article directories. To maximize the potential of your article you need to get more exposure by submitting it to other directories. To do this you have two choices. Do it manually or use one of the article submitting software programs to do it for you.

1. Consider the cost of manually submitting articles verses automatically submitting them using an article submitter. To do it manually is time consuming but you can outsource it for a cost. Submitting using a submitter you need to take into account the initial cost of the article submitter plus the time or cost of outsourcing setting it up. However before you can cost the article submitting program you much do some research to find out what is available, read reviews and work out which one suits your needs and most importantly its initial cost. You can then decide which way is most cost effective to submit your articles to other directories. There are free submitters available but they may not submit your articles to the directories that will maximize the potential of your article.

2. Before you can submit your articles using any article submitter it is a good idea to write a couple of articles and submit them manually to multiple directories to get a good idea how the whole process works. This will also help you to decide which submitter suits your needs if you decide to submit your articles automatically. It has been said that article directories outside the top 10 or so ones may not be worth using but this would depend upon what niche you are targeting as some smaller directories in your niche could be worth considering.

3. If you have lots of articles and want to submit to many directories doing it manually will take more time than using a submitter. Because most article directories are different, manually submitting articles will give you the opportunity to make sure you have done it right and to get your article approved more often without errors. This is something to also consider if you decide to outsource the manual submission process.

4. From the information you have gathered you should by now have a good idea of whether to manually submit your articles to the other directories or to use an article submitter. The other issue you to consider is are you going to submit the same article to multiple directories or rewrite the articles so that they are different for all the directories. Some people say you need unique articles because of a duplicate content penalty but one has to wonder about this when you see the same article listed one after another in search engine results.

It is your business and no one knows it better than you do. So you should decide whether to manually submit your articles to other directories or use one of the article submitters available to maximize the potential of your articles.
