You may have heard it before but is bum marketing really a great way to sell products online when you have little or no money to invest in a new home business?

Let’s first discuss what exactly is bum marketing and then what you need to know and do to get started.

A very popular online marketer, Travis Sago, coined the phrase bum marketing claiming that it required little money and was so easy that any bum off the street could do it. All they had to do was walk into a public library, book access to the internet and they would make money.

What is Bum Marketing?

Bum marketing is really just a way of marketing other peoples products for a commission using mostly free marketing methods. This is also known as form of affiliate marketing.

There is no shortage of other marketers who have products that they would love people to sell for them. Why? It is cheaper and more lucrative than them advertising themselves. What they get is people to promote their products and they only have to pay them if they make a sale. It is therefore a win-win situation.

So they are glad to have people like you sell their products for them and they will pay you up to 75% commission on a successful sale. Did your boss ever give you 75% for selling stuff for him? Mine would have laughed at me if I even suggested it!

How to Start Bum Marketing?

Best part is that it all can be done in your pajamas. Yes that is right no more of those great looking business clothes that somehow never seem to be comfortable. No traffic hassles getting to work however you can always drive around the block if that is what it takes to get you into the work mode. Remember though do not take it too easy as you still have to do some work to make money at home.

Unfortunately the bills just keeping coming so we all have to make money to pay them. Affiliate marketing is good because unlike other jobs you do not trade time for money but get paid by how much work you put into it. Are you afraid to start? No problem all you need is to find someone to help you.

Unfortunately most of the gurus have forgotten what it is really like when one first starts so their online teaching programs leave out the important basic bits or use technical language that you will not understand. Most people give up on these guru programs and try the next one which is exactly what the gurus want you to do.

What you really want is someone who knows what it it like when you first start with affiliate marketing but is also prepared to share the shortcuts, ways to make it easier and what to avoid.
