Blogging can take quite a while to master and to learn to write great blog posts. However great blog posts are virtually useless and have little chance of making you any money if no one reads them. So you need some easy cheap ways of promoting your business blog.

One of the best way of promoting your blog for free is to advertise your blog in your forum signature files.

It always amazes me how many people spend hours a day writing forum posts and replying to them that do not have any advertising in their forum signature file. I will have to admit that some of the forums require one to master basic BB code which I assume is why people just do not bother creating signature files.

However once you have mastered creating forum signature files you can search for forums relevant to your business with high page ranking and use your signature files to create back links to your blog. The more relevant high ranking back links you can create the higher your blog will appear in the search results.

It is not just a matter of adding a link in your forum signature but you should write something that attracts the attention of other forum participants so that they click though to find out more about your business. Some forums allow you to use colors and lots of different fonts but others can be a bit restrictive. These restrictions might mean you have to be a bit more creative but do not over do it so that they tighten the restrictions even further.

Before you get too creative be sure to write some good posts and helpful replies to other forum posts so that people begin to trust you and no just see you as someone spamming their forum. Some forums only allow email signature links to be shown after a certain number of posts have been written and frown upon those who post short posts to reach this quota. So read the forum rules before you post so that you do not get banned. Remember that some of the bigger forums want people to put in a bit of effort before they can get the benefits. After all it is a free advertising in some cases to literally thousands of forum members.

Each post you make with a link to your blog in your signature also helps create more back links to your blog. The more relevant high ranking back links you can get to your blog the higher it will rank in the search results. This means more organic traffic to your blog as well as the traffic you are now getting from the forums.

So before you join any forums think about what you blog is about and search for relevant forums so that you can use your forum signature to promote your blog. The more relevant the forums are the better, as this can also lead to your blog being better optimized for the search engine results.
Blogging has become very popular and a lot of people are now using blogs instead of the standard website. People now use blogs to get their ideas across, market their business and to voice their opinions.

Here are seven reasons why I think people should choose a blog over a normal website.

1. Blogs are Easy to Use.

Let us face it blogs are simple and easy to use. You can access them fast and making changes is much easier than a normal website. None of that geek stuff like changing all that confusing HTML code.

2. Making Changes is Simple and Fast.

With blogs you can make changes in mere seconds compared to the hassles and hours it can take to update a normal website. If you are updating your website on a daily basis then a blog is a real time saver.

3. Information is Delivered Quickly.

You can get your information up on a blog much more quickly than a normal website by following some simple directions. In some niches information can change rapidly therefore the speed you can post to a blog can give you a competitive advantage. Compare this to the hours and sometimes days it takes to update a normal website.

4. Search Engine Optimized.

Most blogs are by their very nature search engine optimized and this can be enhanced by simply choosing an SEO theme for your blog. Search engines love blogs as they are keyword rich which attract web crawlers much faster than normal websites. Some times it takes ages for a website to be found by search engines.

5. Blogs are Naturally Organized.

Websites are a real hassle to organize and every time you add more information it requires some degree of reorganization. Blogs come with a build in format and do not require any initial organization or formatting and even better when you add a post or information then no reorganization is necessary.

6. Blogs can be free or cost very little.

Various sites such as Blogger, Squidoo, Weebly and Hubpages allow you to host your blogs for free if you abide by their terms and conditions. Other than your time this is means you can advertize for free. If you want unlimited freedom then you will have to pay a small price for a domain name and hosting for your blog. You can then use a free platform such as WordPress to automatically format and organize your blog.

7. Communication with your readers.

Because blogs allow your readers to add comments and pose questions they are a great way to communicate with your readers. You can communicate quickly with your readers and their comments are a way of staying in contact with your readers, friends and followers. Website do not allow you to do this.

There are blogs everywhere online. There are free blogs, Web 2.0 blogs and blogs that cost money to create and maintain. Free blogs are great for the beginner but you are resisted by the rules of these blogs and in most cases you no longer own the content on these blogs. If you want freedom and to own the content on your blog then you need to create and maintain them yourself on your own domain name and hosting account. However this takes a lot of more expertise than some of the simpler free blog platforms now available.

Unfortunately as the popularity of blogs has increased the belief that blogs are unreliable sources of information has also increased. A lot of blogs are now being created by ordinary people who have little if any experience in marketing and in some cases just create blogs hoping to sell something as they believe the myth that it is easy to make money blogging without any experience or training.

A blog for the experienced marketer can be a great way of building up trust and awareness of their products and services. Not only that but search engines seem to love blogs especially those with new and original content. However if bloggers are to be taken seriously they need to follow some basic rules which are basically more like a code of ethics so that people once again will realize that not all blogs contain unreliable information and facts.

Check Your Facts Before Blogging About Them.

A good marketer should check their facts before posting anything on their blog. Even doing some basic research can help determine if your information is correct. If you post false information especially about stuff that is easily verifiable then this will do nothing for your credibility. Remember also that things change so regularly check your blog for out of date information and update it if necessary.

Be Aware of Copyright Laws

Copyright laws protect everyone including you. You can use information from elsewhere online for research but do not simply copy content from other sites and paste in onto your website or blog. Most people fail to realize that the majority of information available online is copyrighted and simply copying and passing it off as your own content is considered an illegal use under copyright laws.

Think About What You Post.

It is important that you think about any implied meaning in what you post on your blog. Once posted there is no way to retract your words even though you can amend your blog post. Choose your words carefully so that there is no way you can hurt anyone or harm any other businesses.

Be Aware of Comments Added to Your Blog.

Monitor and limit the type of comments your readers can leave on your blog. Think about comments like you think about your blog posts and delete any comment that might offend people as soon as possible. Remember even though you did not write these comments that they are on your blog and can reflect badly on you and cause your visitors to leave your blog.

Credit Where Credit is Due.

As mentioned above you can not just copy content and add it to your website. However there is an exception to this rule in that you can copy content and paste it if you are allowed to under certain rules. For example, you can copy articles from article sites providing you do not change anything and leave the resource box intact. Basically you need to provide credit to any resources you use. Not doing so will breach copyright rules.

The above mentioned are just a few of the basic rules for blogging. You will need to do further research to find out if any other rules apply to blogging in your particular niche.

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Kerrie_Sheehan]Kerrie Sheehan

There are umpteen guides on how to create a blog online on all sorts of platforms, some paid and some free. Creating a blog is a relatively easy process and I think the biggest problem people have in creating a blog is getting started. Maybe because it is relatively simple people think that it may not be the case if they do get involved and create their own blog.

Let’s face it most of us are not natural writers and up until the internet age we would not even have considered writing anything other than letters to friends and the occasional business letter. Some of us rarely wrote anything as we relied upon using the phone for most of our communications. However we now have this incredible media where any of us, if we so desire, can become writers and have a say in what we really think and believe.

What is the easiest way we can do this?

Blogging. Think of it as you own little corner of the internet world where you can decide if you want the world to read it or just your invited guests. Most of us like to see our words and pictures online and would love to create great blogs so we can tell people about them.

What are you going to talk about in your blog?

The easiest topic by far is something you are passionate about. Something that interests you and you love to research. You will also need some sort of theme for your blog in your chosen niche. You can then put your heart and soul into your blog and make it enjoyable for people to read and to want to read more. This also makes it socially acceptable to the social networking sites and increases traffic to your blog. However you will need to let the social networks know about your blog.

Where do you put your blog?

Easiest place is one of the free blog sites. Do a search for free blog sites and you will get results like Blogger, Weebly. Yola, Hubpages, Squidoo and WordPress. Some sites such as MySpace and Facebook can double as social networking sites. You can also purchase your own domain name and hosting and create your own blogs using a platform like WordPress. However for a beginner I recommend starting with one of the free sites as they are generally easier and quicker to set up and start blogging. You can also make your blog prettier with a nice looking theme and thus more presentable to your readers. As you gain more knowledge about how your blog works you can customize it and make it unique to you. Some sites require you to learn a little bit of HTML code but others will do it all for you. If it is a business blog then you will need to make it look professional so that advertisers believe you will get traffic and will want to place their best ads on your site.

Now the only thing left to do is.

Start a blog today!

This is the question that many people ask every day, especially after seeing the tons of blogs out there on the internet that are successful, interesting, rank highly on the search engines and that are making a ton of money from doing it. Blogging started out as a way to speak out, to express yourself and was simply a tool to use for personal benefits. It is almost like a diary for many people. There are also those people that have taken blogging to the next level and actually use their personal stories, ideas, passions and writing skills to make money for themselves.

So how can you do the same?

Here are 3 simplest ways any one can start blogging, even if he has no blog at all.

1. Credibility – Well, you should get a guide written by a successful blogger. In short, you should learn from those who walk the talk. The ebook by these successful bloggers will gives you accurate information about how to start blogging and how to set up your blog successfully, and it will also list step by step instructions for everything you need to do to make it work for you and make a lot of money from it. Because a successful blogger, being successful, will know the amount of help a newbie blogger will need to start blogging.

2. Simplicity – The blogging guide will need to be realistic and useful with no complicated wording or difficult to understand jargon and technicalities. It has to be straight forward and very easy to follow and all of this will help you to make money in a very short space of time. So many people scour the internet for various money making schemes and quick fix options, when you can just make money from writing a blog about something you love. It can even be about you and as long as you market it correctly and as long as you keep it interesting and fresh, you will soon attract a large database of people who will therefore attract advertisers to your website.

3. Accessibility – This is only the start of it and as you can imagine there are hundreds of models and options that you can use to get people to access and advertise on your website, as well as being able to be found on various other people’s websites through links. Now, instead of just telling you what I have just told you, a good blogging guide author should go into detail about each aspect and tell you the exact websites you will need to go to for the maximum advantage. I feel a sensitive author will spend all the time finding the best ones and weeding out the bad ones to give you a couple of the top websites that will work for you when you start blogging.

So if you are still asking, “how do I start blogging” then you know that the best thing to do is to get a credible and simple blogging guide and you can get started right away without ever worrying about it not working. If you follow the methods as explained it will definitely answer your question on “how do I start blogging”.
