Is a Thief Inside Your Head Stealing Your Money?

I have another niche market I participate in and hope to sell products in.

This niche market involves a sizable learning curve.  I see people come and go in it all the time.

And from my own experiences and those I observe, there is ONE THING that  keeps people from making progress.  And that thing is self doubt.

1.  You may doubt you have the ability to succeed in this business

You know, we all have self doubts.  In learning the new skills I’m tell you about, I know I personally have had self doubt.  “Is this something I can do?  Is this a  skill I can master?  Am I TOO OLD?”

Yet, the conclusion I come back to over and over is that success in ANY endeavor is the result of behaviors. Change the behaviors and get the result.

Wherever you are, I’ve been there.  I know what it is to doubt yourself or your ability. To not be sure if you have what it takes.  To try and have your successes far outweighed by things that didn’t work.

It’s easy to get discouraged.  To stop.  To quit. To think that this is the end of the road for you.  In this new arena and skill set area I’m working in, I’ve experienced all those feelings and emotions and more. Read the rest of this entry

There are many people who wish to write an article about marketing in hopes of reaching out to those who are trying to break into article marketing or other forms of Internet Marketing. For those who are trying to capitalize on this growing number of people hoping to strike it rich in article marketing there are some things that you might want to remember to tell them in your article about marketing.

In your article about marketing, do not forget to tell them how important it is to know your subject matter. There are many who will jump at the opportunity to market something that is a hot seller who know very little about the product and the market who will be buying it. If they jump into this they may not be able to figure out why they can’t make any sales.

The truth is, as you may well know, for those who are truly interested and researching a product or service they will already know a fair amount about it and will have done some research prior to reading your article. If people aren’t adequately armed with knowledge about the product/service and the target audience it could wind up as a failure. Teach them how important it is to learn about what you are trying to sell and who you are selling to. The more you know about this, the better your article is going to be and the better your chances of success will be.

Also don’t forget to tell them how important doing good keyword research is. Let them know what to look for in a good keyword and what makes a good keyword or keyword phrase. You would be surprised at how little people truly know about keywords and not only how to find them but how to use them. Being one of the many successful article marketers is something that can come easily. There are, however, things that you need to avoid that will keep you from being among the many more who used to be article marketers and are now struggling to make money. Done correctly, article marketing can see huge positive results in a very cost effective way. Article marketing done poorly can be a huge waste of time, energy, and even money.

First mistake…making a boring title.

Realize that the title of the article is going to be mixed in with quite a few others that your potential reader has to choose from. There are many of you competing for the same set of eyes. Don’t let your title be something that will blend in with all the rest. Make is something that will stand out and get noticed. Make sure that you don’t get too crazy and make sure that it is relevant to the topic you want to address, but, still be creative and you will stay competitive with other article marketers.
